Contacting us

If you contact us using the contact form on the website or by e-mail, the data you provide will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the request and in case there are follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data to others without your consent.

We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device’s IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.

Purpose of processing

On behalf of IMT AG, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide the website operator with other services relating to web-site activity and Internet usage.

Transmission of Data to Third Countries

The personal data is transmitted to the USA under the EU-US Privacy Shield on the basis of the adequacy decision of the European Commission. You can download the certificate here.

Duration of data storage

The data that we transmit and that are linked to cookies, user IDs, or advertising IDs are automatically deleted after 14 months. Data whose retention period has expired is deleted automatically once a month.

Affected rights

You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect by preventing the storage of cookies by ad-justing your browser software settings accordingly. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing a corresponding browser add-on. Opt-out cookies prevent the future collection of your data when you visit this website. In order to prevent Universal Analytics from collecting data across different devices, you must opt-out on all of the systems that you use.

Customer service and support requests

Our Customer Service uses the Zendesk Support, Zendesk-Guide, Zendesk-Chat support system (manufactured by Zendesk, Inc., 989 Market Street #300, San Francisco, CA 94102, United States) to handle support requests from our customers more quickly and efficiently (justified interest per article 6 sub-section 1 clause f) of the GDPR. We transmit personal data to a limited degree in order to process such requests. Order processing systems, like Zendesk, are only permitted to use or disclose data to the extent required to provide services for IMT AG or meet the statutory requirements. Zendesk is certified under the Privacy Shield Framework and thus provides an additional guarantee of compliance with European data protection laws (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TOjeAAG&status=Active ).

The entry of a correct email address is a minimum requirement for using Zendesk. It is possible to use a pseudonym. It may be necessary to gather additional data (name, address) during the processing of service requests. The use of Zendesk is optional and serves to improve and accelerate our customer and user services.

We offer alternative contact options (email, phone) for submitting service requests if users do not wish to have their data collected and saved to the external Zendesk system.

Newsletter

You can subscribe to our newsletter via our website. For this, we need your e-mail address and your consent to receive the newsletter and your agreement with the privacy notice agreements.
